Here is a list of suggested school supplies that will be used and added to daily, or almost daily, by my students.  If you are able to supply the following items for your child it would be very helpful.   If you are not able to purchase the supplies, please me know as soon as possible and I'll make sure your child has what is needed to be successful.  My email is ray.sahagun@ironmail.org

Student Data Binder/Portfolio:
  • 1  2 inch D-ring binder with clear front pocket/covering on the outside
  • 1  package of divider tabs (8)
  • 1  package of lined paper
  • 1  package of sheet protectors
Other important items:
  • 3  composition notebooks
  • 1  bottle of liquid glue
  • 1  set of earbuds - We use technology every day, and I feel it will be much more hygienic for students to have their own pair rather than sharing with other children.
  • 1 pencil box containing the following:
  • pencils and an eraser
  • pencil sharpener (must capture shavings)
  • pens
  • crayons/markers/colored pencils (your choice, I recommend colored pencils)
  • dry erase markers (the skinny markers don’t last as long) and an eraser (an old sock works great)
  • highlighters - yellow and green work well
  • scissors

Here are some important pieces of information for your parents:
  • Back to School Night will be on Tuesday, August 18th, from 6-7pm. This will be an open house evening.  Come anytime during that hour to pick up official paperwork, see the classroom, and say hi.  Don’t forget to also visit the cafeteria, where you can sign up for PTA, buy school shirts, order yearbooks, and fill out important school forms.

  • Our first parent training night will be held Thursday, September 3, from 6-7:30pm.  Please mark your calendars and plan to attend that evening. More information will be coming.  We will be discussing several important topics that will help you learn what our school is all about and how to best help your child have a successful year.  This meeting will be for parents only.
